Beetles

Anthocomus fasciatus Beetles

Now here we have a group of insects that I can only scratch the surface of. Every child’s favorite is the ladybird but there are around 42 species of those in Great Britain with some having such widely varying markings that they can easily be mistaken for a separate species.

I have broken this section down into two, Ladybirds which have a page of their own and miscelaneous (these). If I build up sufficient photo’s of another broad group I will subdivide again later.

The photo of the Stag beetle was taken in my parents garden in Fleet Hampshire.
